What your donation supports

100% of your donation will go to supporting the local arts. The Arts Council is entirely run by volunteers, so our overhead is minimal. Your donation will support this year’s Fall Art Extravaganza! Your sponsorship will go toward the many aspects of supporting the local art community such as funding public art installations, supporting events, advertising, etc.

What do we do all year? (A lot! Here are some highlights…)

• Creating Art Outreach into De Soto, Present Offerings & Future Dreams - DAC’s “big picture” goal is to help unite our community through the Arts, through (1) bringing art into our community and (2) through supporting and connecting local artists. In the past we’ve mostly centered around the visual arts (and we still love our visual artists!). The future dream is to grow our support of musical and theater arts as well!

• Fall Some Arts Show - We host a yearly fine arts show to showcase and promote local artists while providing a valuable cultural event to the community.

• Public Art Installations - We have an ongoing commitment to bringing more public art to De Soto. In the last few years we have installed multiple outdoor sculptures and we’re in the process of exploring mural options for downtown.

• Local Artist Support and Connection - We LOVE our local artists! We host monthly meetings aimed at connecting and growing skills. We’ve also created a Local Artists Catalog that community members can use to shop local!

The De Soto Arts Council is a registered non-profit organization. Please consider a tax deductible donation today! Your commitment to support the arts can be made through a 100% tax deductible donation. All individual and business sponsors are recognized publicly. Please send your company name and two logos (jpeg format, one black and white, and another color, please!) to desotoartsks@gmail.com.

You may make your tax-deductible donation three ways:

3. Go to www.thekrcf.org and select Affiliates (existing funds). You will be directed to the De Soto Arts Council Fund. Click on our group and follow the directions for your donation. Please keep a copy of this letter for your records/contact information. The De Soto Arts Council is affiliated with the Kansas Rural Communities Foundation (KRCF), a 501(c)3 organization.
